ANNUAL KLAHANIE FOOD DRIVE
Bob Richards has been sponsoring the Annual Klahanie Food Drive since 1988 to benefit the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank. . Bob estimates they netted about 4,000 pounds of food the weekend of Oct. 10-11 and more than 85,000 pounds over the past two decades. Every year Bob publicizes the event, and then sets up a central location within Klahanie to receive donations. To entice participation, pumpkins are given away to everyone who donates. He notes: “We couldn’t do this without the community’s generosity". Bob was honored Dec. 3 by the Seattle King County REALTORS with its REALTOR Community Service award.

COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY
Making our neighborhoods better places to live. The old adage, "many hands make light work," has been put into practice since 1984. All Windermere agents dedicate one day each year to work together on neighborhood improvement projects. Community Service Day is a great opportunity to give back to the communites where we live and work, and gives us a chance to work together.WINDERMERE FOUNDATION
The Puget Sound Business Journal repeatedly recognizes Windermere Real Estate as a major philanthropist in the Puget Sound area. Windermere is ranked at No.11 in the 2005 Corporate Philanthropists listing, based on $1,685,048 of total giving in 2004.
Windermere's charitable dollars go to multiple agencies serving low-income or homeless families in Puget Sound neighborhoods via the Windermere Foundation. One of the Foundation's primary focuses continues to be the nurturing of "at-risk" children and youth who are currently living on the fringes of poverty.
Recipient social service organizations use Windermere Foundation grants on a broad variety of programs offering: food and clothing basics, summer camps, scholarships and after-school enrichment programs. A few beneficiaries include: multiple Puget Sound public school districts; The Children's Home Society; The YMCA/YWCA; and The Salvation Army.
